Compassionate therapy for individuals and couples.
Mike's mission is to help individuals and couples find greater meaning, clarity, purpose and joy in their lives through empathic connection, insight and change.
Mike Izzo is an independently licensed mental health clinician serving clients throughout Massachusetts via telehealth.
Mike helps clients better understand the friction points in their lives, assess how they've been impacted and ultimately tap into their authentic selves to move forward. Together, clients access their thoughts and emotions in a healthy and constructive way, to strengthen their relationships and find greater fulfillment. Mike's clinical approach is person-centered. He meets each client where they are with no judgement and utilizes the evidence-based practice(s) that best fit each unique person, including CBT, IFS, motivational interviewing and narrative therapy.
Mike has done this work himself. Prior to becoming a therapist, he worked for over 20 years in high-stress environments including several venture backed start ups and the military. These experiences left an emotional residue that he unknowingly carried for years. Through his own therapy, he learned how to cope with and heal from these experiences. Mike brings these lessons into sessions with his clients today.
Mike holds degrees from Boston University, The University of California at Berkeley and The United States Military Academy at West Point. When he isn't chasing his two young kids around, he enjoys running, weight training, cycling, hiking, watching football and playing board games.
